We are a bunch of Neurosciences Nurses taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge to raise as much money as possible for a small Sheffield charity, Neurocare.

So why are we doing this? Well, we keep asking ourselves the same question. We work on an incredibly busy Neurological unit providing quality care for patients with well known conditions, such as Motor Neuron Disease, Epilepsy & Parkinson's Disease. But also lesser understood and rarer conditions, including Guillain Barre and Neurosarcoidis. We provide some of the best Stroke care services in the country, with innovative treatments including Thrombectomy.
All we ever want is the best for our patients and their relatives. I'm sure you already appreciate the issues surrounding NHS funding, which is why we have partnered up with Neurocare to raise money in order to continue to improve equipment and services in our department.
We greatly appreciate your donations no matter how small. As will the patients that come to benefit from them. This is a massive challenge for us all (the details of which can be found below) so we thank you in advance for your valuable support and any survival tips!
The National 3 Peaks challenge involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England & Wales. On
11th Sept 2016 at 7am we begin our climb of Ben Nevis (1345m). Following this we move on to Scafell Pike (978m) finished off with Snowdon (1085m). That's a total of 17.5 miles climbed and 462 miles travelled. ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS!
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
