Lourdes is the human definition of ‘Giving’. It is a place where people simply give of themselves. Many people say ‘it is a religious place’, and to an extent, it is. Yet there is so much more that it can add, to humanity, to anyone who dare venture there. Happiness abounds in every corner of Lourdes.  It is said that people go to Lourdes hoping for a miracle in their lives.    I believe that a miracle has already happened, as this last week has changed my life.  Unbeknownst to me, my mum and aunt were discussing last Thursday that I should go to Lourdes, and then on the Saturday my uncle informed me about volunteers needed , and following this I am now going the Lourdes Thursday this week.  I will be going with ACROSS who have changed so many people’s lives; be they able-bodied or VIPs, religious or not. Of course, ACROSS depends on voluntary contributions to be able to carry out its wonderful work.    The cost of this trip is £750.00 and I would be grateful for any donations, a little or a lot would enable ACROSS not only to enhance our trip, but add to the years ahead of all those involved. The shared experience makes everybody equal.
