Story
Hello and thank you for coming to my page.
On the 30th of July myself and my good friend Debbie Low will take part in a triathlon on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, in memory of my beautiful ginger ninja sister, Fiona Campbell.
Fiona struggled with depression for many years, later diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder. Fiona was a tough cookie and fought her way through many bouts of darkness, however on the 19th of August 2015 her fight for peace overcame her. She has left a vast emptiness in our lives that will never change, nor will our lives ever be the same again.
Fiona was a bright, sparkling, curly haired spirit, who was kind to a fault. She loved to dance, sing, laugh and love harder than anyone I've ever met. However, behind her smiles and overwhelming kindness to others, she fought her own daily demons behind closed doors.
Fiona attended a Bi-polar self help group for many years, where she received support, guidance and more importantly, friendship. Fiona offered this to other group members in abundance, and I am sure pulled people from their own dark battles in life with her heart-warming smile and contagious spirit . This group provided the opportunity for these acts of kindness, moments of love and treasured memories. Thats why this charity is so important to us all.
When sorting through fionas belongings, I came across an angel wing shaped trinket that read,
' You must do the things you think you cannot do - Eleanor Roosevelt '
This ignited my motivation to do something challenging, push myself, shake my fears and desperately try to put my mind in a better place.
For those of you who know me well, you are aware just how challenging the swimming element of this triathlon will be!
Finally, I'd like to say a huge thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Please donate what you can and help us to raise as much money as possible, to ensure others find the help and healing they need.
Thank you again
Lots of love
Hazel xx
