Story

The Team reached the South Pole on 8th December. Our ski journey to the Pole from  an equivalent Latitude where Sir Ernest Shackleton had to turn back just 97 1/2 miles short of his goal in 1909 has been a most amazing experience.

It is impossible to explain how it was but I have been very privileged to have been with David Hempleman-Adams and Rune Geldnes who have the ability of encouraging people to do things they would never do.

"No person who has spent a period of his life in those stark sullen latitudes that sentinel the Pole will understand fully what trees flowers and running streams mean to the Soul of Man"

Bob has been on many adventures but this will be the hardest thing he has ever attempted. He is dedicating his journey to Headway Oxfordshire, who provide support to anyone affected by an acquired brain injury.
