Story

My beautiful and inspiring wife sadly but peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday 23rd July 2016.  This was a poignant day in many ways as it was also our 11th wedding anniversary - so the happiest day of my life and the saddest day of my life will now share the same date.  I will forever be indebted to Kate who was my soul mate and also the most amazing person i have ever known.

I feel blessed to have shared her life with me and i we had an amazing life together - not just the times that everyone probably knows about given our social media and media presence but those precious times when it was just 'Chris and Kate' - special memories that i will treasure for ever.

Kate's legacy will continue forever and her #hellomynameis campaign will be key in this and i know that we as her family, friends, followers and supporters will ensure this happens.

I am so proud of my amazing wife and everything she did in her life and stood for - a truly inspiring individual that will go down in history as the lady who brought compassionate care back into global healthcare.

Her passing was as she wanted it to be and the last couple of weeks before she died she was looked after by the amazing staff at St Gemmas Hospice in Leeds which is a beautiful place that really made a huge difference to Kate's last few weeks - thank you.

RIP my beautiful one and see you again on 'the other side'..
