Story

Holly and her friends will be taking part in a 1 mile Superhero Charity Walk at Strathclyde Country Park, on 14-Aug-2016 at 2pm.

Holly was 4 months old when she was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect (ALCAPA) . She had emergency surgery the following day at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

Following a straight-forward pregnancy, this came as a huge shock to her parents, family and friends. Holly spent 5 weeks recovering in intensive care and a further 3 weeks on the Cardiology Ward. During this time, she was granted a 'wish' from the Zak Scott Braveheart Foundation, a lovely charity who buy a gift for every child that has heart surgery in Scotland.

Whilst Holly is recovering well, there are children and their families going through similar situations each week and Holly's friends and family would like to give something back to this wonderful charity who provide hope and support during extremely difficult times.
