Story

To help raise funds for RACPA UK, I will be spending 7 hours investigating (with other people) at HMP ASHWELL through Spooktacular Ghost Hunting Events on Saturday 19th April 2014.

HMP Ashwell prison was a Category C men's prison, after the major riots it was closed in 2011 and has been sat empty since. Before it became HMP Ashwell Prison it was a World War II US army base and open prison for adult male prisoners.

The event with Spooktacular Ghost Hunting Events, gives full access to around 8-10 buildings, a few of these buildings are massive with a couple of floors full of cells. Plus access to the lifers block , segregation unit and padded cells areas too .

The prison is very eerie, all over grown and some buildings boarded up , there are toothbrushes and slippers on the floor and hand prints on the walls.

Due to the condition of the prison, this will be quite a challenging investigation.
