Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge by Members of Lovells Bury, 14 May 2017

Story

Both myself, Keira my Husky and several members of Lovells Bury No 4018, masonic lodge, have ‘volunteered’ to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, on Saturday the 14th  May 2016, to raise funds for local charitable organisations throughout Bedfordshire.

As part of our lodges' Centenary in Feb 2020, we aim to raise £4018 or more for local charities. Our first challenge, of a series of such challenges in the next few years, is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, and I hope to help raise £250 towards our target of £4018 or more.

All monies raised will be distributed once our goal is achieved to a century of local charitable organisations, in Bedfordshire such as; Keech Hospice Care & Carers in Bedfordshire.

This challenge includes the successful summit of Pen-y-Ghent (694m or 2,277ft), Whernside (736m or 2,415ft) and Ingleborough (723m or 2,372ft) in the glorious Yorkshire Dales and take us over a range of terrain and walking for almost 25 miles and between 9-15 hours trekking.

Please support our efforts by sponsoring myself and the rest of the team. ANY amount that you can sponsor us will be gratefully received and distributed to the local charities after all the challenges are completed.

All monies donated through this Justgiving page is paid directly to The Freemasons Grand Charity and along with the gift aid received is put into our Lodges' Relief Chest; No 4018C, from which The Freemasons Grand Charity will issue the payments to all of our nominated charities once the funds have been raised.

On a personal note, due to having a lung condition which means that I have less than half the normal lung capacity of someone of the same age this REALLY will be a challenge ....so please think of all those miles....oh and our poor feet...........

Please support us and thank you.
