Story
Ibn Ghuraba literally translates into Son of Stangers. We are a group of 4 people who consider themselves as strangers in this world because of the saying of the Prophet Muhammad: Islam began as a something strange and it will return to being strange, so blessed are the strangers
We as strangers believe we should pass through this life not getting too comfortable with life's pleasures, rather we should do our utmost to honour and complete our duties of helping people. This is why we try to raise money for different charitable projects with your donations.
Our first project was successful in raising money for a family in Pakistan but now we want to help a cause that is much closer to home. After we had attended our first Steps To Allah conference organised by Islamic Network we fell in love with their charity. They had high profile speakers come together on one platform for the sake of inspiring the not so practising Muslims. They also talked about their other projects which targeted the not so practising Muslim youth which was amazing to see because there's not many other organisations that target that audience. We felt like this is something we really needed when we were not practising so we made the decisions to support Islamic Network in order to help others like us get the help they need in finding the passion for the deen.
As we come up to Ramadan we want to give you the opportunity to enter the blessed month with a stack of good deeds on your scale by asking you to donate what you can to help us meet the target of £500 by the 1st of Ramadan Insha Allah.
