Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are taking part in a three day trek across Iceland. This will involve climbing mountains, crossing glaciers, rivers and walking many miles each day... If you know us then you will understand how difficult this will be. So donate generously! :D
All joking aside, our goal is to raise £4000 for Children in Crossfire. Read on to learn a little about what they do.
Established in 1996 Children in Crossfire have supported projects helping some of the most vulnerable children on the planet that suffer from the injustice of poverty. Today they work to change the lives of children in Tanzania and Ethiopia. They meet their immediate needs, improve their living conditions and build essential services to support their well-being and education.
Children in Crossfire believe that people and communities have the best ideas and motivation to bring lasting change. Their work ensures young people’s hearts and heads are nurtured, so they are fully equipped to work to make the world a better place.
Global inequality and poverty can impact negatively upon children. Children in Crossfire work in partnership with people from Tanzania and Ethiopia to help improve the quality of life for young children.
Changing children’s lives is the responsibility of us all, wherever we live. Development Education is an important part of their work in Ireland and the UK to introduce people to the structural causes of poverty, and help them find a role to make the world a better place.
Please help us to reach our target and support a very deserving local charity. Keep checking back on our page for updates and events! :)
