We fund projects in India, Nepal & Tibet to improve health & education for Tibetans

Story

One of Anne's life long passions was for the Tibetans, their art, culture and religion: she made a deep personal commitment to do everything possible to help maintain their unique identity until such time as they can return to their mountainous homeland, safe and free. Anne was knowledgeable about many aspects of Tibet having read widely on Tibetan life and history, worked in northern India for six months with the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) and visited orphanages in Lahsa. When asked for her greatest moments in life one of the most important was meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama, whom she considered to be the greatest person alive. With her knowledge of Tibet Anne created maps of the country which helped raise funds for TIPA, created a folio of detailed drawings of regional costumes and jewellery, sponsored children in TIPA and wrote a book of her time in McLeod Ganj. She also raised significant funds that created housing for Tibetan refugees who escape across the treacherous Himalayas and who want nothing more than to practice their religion, culture, music and art in peace and without persecution.

Anne wanted any contributions to her funeral to go towards continuing this wonderful cause, and on her behalf, thank you.

We work with Tibetans in India, Nepal & Tibet. Our projects provide vital healthcare and education and encourage self-sufficiency. Many Tibetans are refugees having fled their country to escape China’s occupation; others live in remote areas of Tibet with little access to education or healthcare.
