Story
Salam everyone, I pray that this message reaches you all in the best of health and faith. On behalf of the IUS, I'd like to wish you all Ramadhan Mubarak and I hope that we can make the best out of this blessed month inshaAllah.
This Ramadhan, we are reaching out to all of you to support the orphans of Iraq who are in urgent need of your help. There are an estimated 5 million Iraqi orphans and this number is ever-increasing due to the ongoing violence devastating Iraq. Even as you read this, there are more and more people being mercilessly killed in Iraq by terrorist groups. Young children are left without parents and are made vulnerable, not knowing whether they will have shelter for the night or when their next meal will be. No child deserves to live in this way and with your help, we can change this. Your donations can battle against poverty, starvation and illiteracy. You can help to provide an orphan with shelter, medical care and can protect them against the harsh reality of the streets, where they are at risk of being exploited for terrorist or criminal activities.
Ramadhan is a month of giving, a month of charity and a month of blessings. Whilst we are all comfortable in our homes this Ramadhan, doing iftar surrounded by our loved ones, remember the orphans of Iraq who will be alone and hungry on the streets tonight. So please this Ramadhan, I ask you to give wholeheartedly and to give what you can to help these poor children who are living in this deprived situation through no fault of their own. JazakAllah.
The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'The best act of charity is carried out in the month of Ramadhan.'
