I and a raggle-taggle bunch of colleagues and hangers on, are going to try to complete a relay of 26 different events between Oxford and London this September, passing the baton of the Oxford English Dictionary between each event.

Amongst the events to be covered are Naked, Ostrich racing, Viking Varpa and Zombie amongst many others, all aimed at being not necessarily physically demanding but an exercise in public humiliation.

I'm raising money for a charity very dear to my heart.  Safehaven which is run by St. Peter's church in Brighton, opens its doors to over a hundred homeless people in the area every week, offering a sit down meal every Saturday, as well as men's and women's drop-in sessions during the week for the street community to come in & feel human for moment and a night shelter during the colder months of the year.

You will know I don't go in for this sort of thing normally so I'd really appreciate if you can help me to meet or hopefully smash my target.
