Story
I'm sure most of you know that Ian and I lost our fantastic mum to cancer very recently. Our lives will never be the same.
To honour her memory and to attempt to give a bit back, Ian and I, along with some very good friends, are walking a huge 18 miles over 6 hills in the Lake District on 13th October. The total climb will be about the height of Ben Nevis. No easy task. Especially when you consider that Ian absolutely HATES walking, and whilst I love it, I'm not sure I love walking 18 miles all in one go. Mum loved walking in the hills and that is why we've chosen this challenge; a fitting tribute to a brilliant person.
Please give whatever you can. Apparently the care provided at the hospice costs around £370 per person per night, and they are dependant on charity for a lot of it. The last few weeks of mum's life would have been so much worse without St Cuthberts, for all of us.
A massive thank you from Dad, Ian and I for your generous support.
Every £1 counts, so, again, THANK YOU.
