Story

A brief conversation in a pub and the idea of an elite squad of MAMILs powering their way to Paris by bike was born. We've had distressed phone calls, punctures and head in hands moments, not to mention extremely cold extremities up hills at dawn on Saturday mornings!

However the team has evolved and Pete Butler, Andy Freestone, Marcus Freer, Dave Allison, Simon Children, Chris Nicholl, Nick Thompson, Andy Furley, Mike Walker and Tim Hollidge are training furiously to be in shape for this quite arduous test.

After the care and kindness St Michaels Hospice showed to John, the Butler family felt that any money raised by this trip should be for this very deserving cause.

Hospices like St Michael's rely on donations to be able to provide a high level of care, anything will be gratefully received

About the charity

St Michael's Hospice provides quality, individualised care to patients who have progressive, life-limiting illnesses and supports their carers and families. It will cost £4.2 million to run the Hospice this year and we need to raise almost £4 million of that amount.
