We support over 11,000 Adult & Young Carers to have a break from their caring role

Story

In October/November (Date has been put back due to Kevin's knee op) I am cycling the West Highland Way in memory of Dave Parr (My Father-in-Law). Dave unexpectedly passed away on the 1st November 2012 aged 61 years.

During the many years of requiring 24hr care, this organisation was able to provide support and advice to Glenis (Dave's Wife) and so, I hope to raise money to enable this organisation to continue to offer the support they do. The charity does a wonderful job and continues to provide our family with support and advice.

My Route:

The 154Km (96miles) Route starts at Milngavie passes through Mugdock Country Park, follows the shores of Loch Lomond, passing Ben Lomond, through Glen Falloch and Strathfillan, crossing Rannoch Moor, past Buachaille Etive Mor to the head of Glencoe, climbing the Devil’s Staircase, descending to sea level to cross the River Leven at the head of Loch Leven before entering Lairigmor and Glen Nevis and finishes at Gordon Square in Fort William.

The terrain ranges from Lowland Moors, Dense Woodland and Rolling Hills, to High Mountainous regions in the Scottish Highlands.

I will be joined by Kevin 'Jags' McCormack to push me all the way. I would be grateful for your support.
