In-Community Care for Orphans (I-CCO) want to provide lunch for all the children that attend the new school they opened earlier this year in the township of Chawama, Lusaka.  The aim of this is to improve the children's nutrition levels as well as help them to concentrate better in class.  Some children come to school without having had any breakfast and by midday are unable to concentrate any longer in class.  Because of this the school has not been able to run any afternoon classes - children are being sent home at lunchtime, some facing the possibility of not having a proper meal all day.

I-CCO have been able to start providing lunch to the children at the school on some days of the week, and on those days the school can run classes in the afternoon so increasing the amount of time the children are learning in school as well as improving their health and nutrition.  We would really love this to continue next year so need your help in raising funds for this great cause!  

To provide lunch for one child at the school for one month costs £8, or for one term costs £24.  Please join us in our appeal by sponsoring lunch for a child or two, and help us to give these children a real boost to both their education and their health. Thank you.
