Story
Not a day goes by without us recognising how blessed we are to have seven children between us. They have been a solace in hard times and a joy in happy times. We are so grateful that they have all thrown themselves into our exciting adventure.
But we know the pressures that children and teenagers are under nowadays - schools are crawling with counsellors. A dear friend, James Shone, is making a profound difference throughout schools in the UK. At 39 James was appointed Headmaster of a Prep School. At his medical he was diagnosed with a brain tumour, which changed his life overnight. After surgery, James lost the majority of his sight. His career was over but as he slowly recovered he found an extraordinary gift for communicating his message. He now travels the country visiting schools, talking to staff, parents and children.
James set up a charity I Can & I Am with an aim to inspire confidence in every individual. The charity is becoming highly successful but there is a logistical challenge. With only 10% vision, James travels around the country and his charity needs proper funding if his vocational work is to prosper.
I know some of you want to get us a wedding present. It would give us so much pleasure if, instead, you would consider making a contribution to I Can And I Am. It is hard to overstate the effect James has on both teachers and children. By supporting this charity we will all be making a difference.
With much love,
Ness and Jeremy
