Story

On Sunday 25th September I'll be taking part in the Ealing Half Marathon
This is my first ever Half Marathon, but I'm always looking for a new challenge! :)

I'll be running to raise money for The Winchester Project, aka The Winch. It's the charity that I work for, so I've seen first hand the awesome work done by The Winch to help children, young people and their families. We run Under 5's activities, an After School Club, a Youth Club, and a Social Enterprise scheme which helps us to maintain our Cradle to Career principle.

The Winch started in Swiss Cottage when the Old Winchester Arms at 21 Winchester Road, a pub until 1969, was squatted in the early 1970s by a group of young people looking to rehouse their youth club. Since 1973, we’ve worked with thousands of children, young people and families across North Camden to improve their chances in life. The issues we tackle include social exclusion, homelessness and gang involvement. We provide activities, opportunities and support as well as an out of hours phone line and access to additional services provided by our partners in education, health, housing and general advice.

The Winch can only continue the work we do by securing funding, so please give generously and help me to raise as much as possible. Thanks so much for supporting me!
