We raise aspirations and open young eyes to improve futures and life chances

Story

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by.

This summer I'll be running a half marathon in memory of two twin brothers and generally awesome guys I went to school with who tragically passed away within 6 weeks of each other back in November 2013 and January 2014. Harry and Ed lived life to the full, were happy, loved and were growing into successful young people.

The HEART charity (Harry & Edward’s Aspiration Raising Trust) has been set up by the parents of Harry and Ed and is overseen by trustees including close friends of Harry and Ed themselves. They aim to raise funds to support a wide range of individual and group programmes and events that support learning, provide experiences that would otherwise not be available, develop skills, raise awareness and open eyes to a world beyond their current expectations.

I strongly believe in equal opportunities for all young people and HEART is at the very centre of this belief. If you share this same belief then I urge you to skip that unnecessary afternoon coffee, bring lunch to work all week rather than eating out or maybe even cancel that night out and use the money to give a young person a chance that they deserve. As much or as little as you can, the very fact that you're donating shows that you care.

Please note that money can be donated in a variety of currencies including CAD, GBP, USD, HKD and EUR!

I thank you all for reading and thank you in advance for donating.

About the charity

HEART commemorates Harry and Ed Barker. They lived life to the full, were happy, loved and growing into successful young men. We want to capture the spirit with which they lived their lives, to ensure that other children and young people have opportunities to help them reach their full potential.
