Story
Hi! Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!
On Friday 18th of March, accompanied by my very good friend Rob, I am going to be undertaking a challenge I have wanted to do for years.
I'm attempting the Tube Challenge - visiting all 270 stations of the London Underground in as quick a time as possible. There is an official Guinness World Record which keeps changing hands (currently 15hrs 45mins) but I don't think I'll get anywhere near that at my first attempt!
I'll need to travel through or at least arrived at or departed from each station at least once - and there will be some running between various points on the map.
Given the size of the challenge it made sense to make the most of the opportunity and try and raise some sponsorship to go to a good cause. It wasn't hard to pick which. There are so many charities out there to choose from but I wanted to do it for one which doesn't necessarily benefit from publicity on a national scale and that I have some form of connection with.
I have been regularly attending - as part of an ever-changing team - a pub quiz hosted by SCT for a number of years. The Spitalfields Crypt Trust do absolutely incredible, life changing work from their base in London's East End. For 50 years they have been helping those who have been affected by addiction and homelessness to recover and to develop hope for a better future.
Any donations, be it 2, 5 or even 10p for each of the 270 stations, for example, would be enormously generous and gratefully received.
If you want to know more about what SCT do, or the Challenge there are some links below.
Thank you so much!
