In August, I will be celebrating my first anniversary with Mothers' Union. I have been amazed by the profound impact which the members worldwide have in their own communities, "listening to the voices of the weeping", and quietly doing what is needed - from providing toiletries to women in refuges or teddies for refugee children, to helping women to learn to read, earn money and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. For the 140th Anniversary, and to celebrate our 25th, Paul and I would like to raise £1400, which will make a real difference to families at home and abroad
