Story

I'm going to run this year’s Manchester 10k to raise funds for the Ashton under Lyne based Willow Wood Hospice.

As a patron of Willow Wood I wanted to do something to raise vital funds for this amazing charity, I grew up and lived in Newton for many years and know about the tremendous work the Hospice does for local people. I was delighted when they asked me to become a Patron and that’s when I decided I wanted to do something special.

After having my hip replaced I decided I wanted to do something that would push me to my limits and the Manchester 10k seemed a good place to start.

I've not done any real exercise for years, but now I am!

I will get round, how fast? Who cares?

I'm not going to do it on my own so I am “recruiting” as many friends and relatives as possible to join me.

If you would like to join our team of “Willow Wood Warriors” then imply enter the race and then join our team here https://www.justgiving.com/justinswarriors
