Story
Dear Friends
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September, I will be taking part in the biggest challenge of my life,
a 500km cycling ride from Vietnam to Cambodia, to help raise vital funds for the Breast Unit at St Margaret’s hospital in Epping and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. My aim is to personally raise £5,000 for this wonderful charity and raise awareness in our local area.
The Breast Unit Charity supports breast cancer patients in Essex, Hertfordshire and London. The money raised by the charity is used to enhance patient care, purchase specialist equipment, improve facilities, as well as invest in vital research which is in partnership with the NHS. The charity has also conducted over 33 clinical trials, which has led to the drugs getting approval by the FDA and the EU as standard treatment. The funds also allow us to provide support and care for those going through breast cancer, through their “beauty parlour” FAB and Mind Body Vitality programmes that take place at the hospital. The Breast Unit also offers a great deal of information and support to women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.
The reason why I am taking part in this amazing challenge is because
this is a charity close to my heart, as I have personally lost family members and very close friends to this dreadful disease. So, I have decided to do my bit to help raise funds for this worthwhile charity. I know that all my friends will help me to achieve my goal and help me through the 500km journey.
There will be lots of opportunities along the way for you to support me and have fun at the same time. But I would very much like to ask you all now, to donate as little or as much as you can afford to support the Breast Unit Charity, literally every penny counts, and also it will motivate me on those long bike rides.
Thank you so much to anyone who donates money today, I really appreciate your kindness, support and encouragement you are giving to me and the charity
