Story

Karen and Sharon are walking from Holme on Spalding Moor to Farnley Tyas (Nr Huddersfield) which will cover 72 miles over five days.

This is to commemorate the six lost crew members of Wellington Z1327 which crashed at Farnley Tyas on the night of 17th February 1942. The Aircraft was on a training flight at the time of the crash. Four of the Airmen are interned at the Church at Holme on Spalding Moor and it is the intention of the ladies to walk back to Huddersfield via Ex-RAF Breighton, Selby, Pontefract, Castleford, Leeds, Wakefield and on to Huddersfield before ending the walk at the Memorial Stone laid by The Huddersfield Branch of the RAFA to commemorate the Crew at the crash site in Farnley Tyas.
