Story
Our son, Will, was born eight weeks early on 26th June 2015 at the Whittington hospital in north London. He was whisked away to the neonatal intensive care unit and spent almost six weeks in hospital before we were able to bring him home. The care that Will received at the Whittington was out of this world, and we will be forever grateful to the staff who gave Will the best possible start in life.
On the 29th May, Tom is running the Edinburgh marathon and I will be running the Edinburgh half-marathon to raise money for Whittington Babies, the charity that supports the neonatal intensive care unit and special care baby unit. A night's stay in the intensive care unit costs an eye-watering £1200 and so we're trying raise a few quid to say thank you for the incredible care that Will received.
Will is now thriving and he will be 11 months old at the time of run. Thanks to his granddad accompanying us to Edinburgh, Will is going to be there cheering us on. It’ll be an emotional and exhausting day, and we’re incredibly grateful for any donations that you’re able to give to help support the work of Whittington Babies.
Thank you so much, Tom, Kate and Will xx
