Story

I'm running the Belfast Half Marathon 2016 for Revive and Myeloma UK.The Regional Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast helps to save the lives of hundreds of people each year.
Revive is a registered charity that supports patients, relatives and staff by providing new and improved facilities for the unit. By helping Revive you could be helping your community, your family and your friends in their time of need. The ICU gave my aunt the best fighting chance possible of survival following her traumatic brain injury. I can not express my gratitude to the team in the ICU who were like angels as they monitored Ellie, and during those dark days, they nursed my whole family.
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. They provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.
I want to fundraise for Myeloma UK in memory of Crichton who passed away in January after courageously battling Myeloma for many years.
While the training is tough it is such a fantastic opportunity to raise a lot of money for a great cause and I will be inspired by the incredible courage and dignity shown by Crichton right to the end. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
