Story

This is Sue & Kathi.  They are friends.

They meet up for coffee on evening and the conversation gets round to work.  Kathi's quite excited as it will be NMCF UK's 20th Anniversary in May.  The team want to really mark this milestone and raise as much money as possible before the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital opens this coming December in Johannesburg.  Sue suggests they organise another 20km sponsored walk around London, like they did with their friend Nayan and 100 of his colleagues.

Somehow, a moderate 20km walk has turned into the 106km Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge in April.

For this, Kathi blames Sue.  Sue blames Kathi.  But they are going to do it because the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund is a fantastic charity, doing awesome work with up to 100,000 children and young people every year.  And 20 years in the UK is a really great achievement and one to be proud of.

Training is well underway, and a job-lot of anti-blister socks should shortly be enroute with a Yodel delivery van (possibly).

We hope you will help ease the misery of big-toe-blisters and chaffing thighs, soaked-to-the-skin and strained friendships in order to help them raise as much money as possible for a terrific cause in its milestone year.

Sue & Kathi will let you know how they get on - although they will be miles apart, taking a well-earned rest from each other's nagging...
