I have decided to run the 2016 London Marathon because every year I watch it on the Television and think "Crikey, What an amazing achievement to be able to run a Marathon!"

Although I enjoy the odd run to keep fit I have NEVER been a long distance runner... I think the furthest I had ever run prior to getting a place at the 2016 Marathon was 7 miles!

I've realised that this year I turn 30 and that my body isn't feeling like its getting any younger!! So I've decided that this year is my year to hopefully have that Amazing feeling when I cross that finish line knowing not only what a huge personal achievement I have just completed, but also that I have raised lots of money for an Awesome charity!

I have decided to Run for Crimestoppers is because it is charity close very close to my heart!

Every day I go to work as a Police Officer I speak with people who have had their lives or one of their loved ones lives torn apart by Crime!! However although I would love to be able to catch all of the bad guys, sometimes that sadly isn't possible!

Thats where the brilliant work that Crimestoppers do helps. Not only can they offer Help to those victims affected by crime, but they also help catch those responsible for the most terrible of crimes! They are also there to help give people the information and tools to act against crime, making our communities safer!
