Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My plans are to work with a rural school in a town called Oodi, Botswana, Africa where I am going this July. Dependent on the level of funds raised, because they do have a meagre electricity provision, I will be introducing technology with computers.

Due to my strong passion for sport, I am also hoping to help encourage more sporting activities by purchasing sports equipment there such as balls, cricket bats, footballs etc. to help the school children.

One of my inspirations for this was two summers ago, my sister went to Ramotswa in Botswana. She built a water well for a group of disadvantaged disabled people. Her project has just continued to expand and now they are growing crops and have livestock.

Another inspiration was that my grandfather lives in Botswana and when I was younger, I used to visit the nearby rural villages with him. I was always shocked by their extreme poverty however the children still continued to smile even in the awful living conditions, so with your donation, I hope to make them smile for another day!

The Wellington College Charity has graciously offered to collect the funds on my behalf.

Thank you for your kind donation.
