We School and educate poor children to Providing hope and improving lives

Story

When we first visited Kenya in 2004 we had no idea of the impact it would have on our family. We have met some of the most humble and loving people who smile through terrible difficulties, and seen the difference a little help from us can really make. We've seen poverty that needs to be witnessed first hand to be believed. No where is this more true than with the Gambo family; we have sponsored Douglas' education for the last 11yrs and he excels at Jolaurabi Primary. We had the privilege this summer of hosting his little brother, Moses.in our home as part of the Singing Children of Africa and completely fell in love with him.
Our dream is to help build a safe and permanent home for Moses and Douglas where they, and their family, can live and concentrate on building a brighter future for themselves. This will be done by constructing a house made of blocks, instead of the weak mud house they currently live in, with a solid concrete floor and metal sheeting roof. We plan to build in 3 stages, one room at a time, eventually giving the Gambo family a 3 room house for Moses, Douglas, their sister, mother, and elderly father.

If you would like to go ahead and do some fundraising yourself to add to our funds that would be brilliant...maybe a coffee morning, a run/bike/abseil challenge, or car boot sale, or a single donation - whatever works as every penny adds up.
Please join us in making this dream come true in any way you can. Change a life today.
