Story

Hello and thanks for visiting this page.

My name is Anke from Germany currently living in Bahrain.

I have been kitesurfing for the past 6 years, coming from a sailing background and managed to set a world record for the longest distance kitesurfed by a female in 2014 with our project „The 250km Kitechallenge“.

What an epic journey it was for the team and myself.

You can read the story and watch the event video about it
here: http://www.ankebrandt.com/250km-kite-challenge/

As we knew we wanted more right from the start, we founded
Kite Beyond as an umbrella for upcoming missions and events driven by passion and wind forces.

Most events we do under KiteBeyond are dedicated to a cause
or a charity organisation.

The 250km Kite challenge was set up to raise awareness and
founds for ‚Wings for life’. We managed to get an amazing 2,796.98 USD. Thanks again to all our supporters!!

The team and I are now ready for our next challenge to
support yet again ‚Wings for life’ and fort them we plan to break our current record of 250km by kitsurfing from Bahrain to the UAE.

Check out the teaser Video here: https://vimeo.com/156255818

To cover our costs, we have great partners on board, I want to especially thank for their trust and support.
