Story
23 years ago I received a phone call whilst I was at University. It was my beautiful Mum calling to tell me that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. I was devastated.
By the time I was 28, a year after I got married and 15 months before Zoe was born, my Mum passed away. Life would never be the same.
My story is not unique and I know I am not alone. We all know someone who's life has been affected by this disease...a mother, aunt, family friend and suddenly, and all too often now, a friend.
As many of you know, I love to run but on the 14th May I am going to slow down the pace and up the distance. I am taking part in the Moonwalk, 26 miles across London through the night to raise vital funds to go towards research into breast cancer.
I am hoping to raise as much money as I can and I would be so grateful if you would support me and donate to Walk the Walk.
Most days I feel my Mum walking alongside me...I am sure she would feel very proud of me for undertaking this very long walk in her honour.
Thank you for visiting my page.
