Story
On August the 27th 2016 myself and Craig Fuller will be attempting the South Coast Challenge 100km (62 mile) ultra-marathon. This extended marathon starts in Eastbourne and ends in at Arundel, with runners expected to finish within 15 hours.
We are doing this to raise money for a charity special to my family called Hemi-Chat. This charity supports both adults and children who suffer from Hemi-plegia, which is full or partial paralysis on one side of the body. My youngest daughter Gracie has been helped through this condition, and Hemi-Chat is one of the key reasons she is able be completely independent, despite partial paralysis to the right side of her body.
Hemi-chat has consistently supported our family, placing us in contact with similar families, arranging meet ups and of course putting us in contact with the medical professionals we needed to overcome this condition.
Without this charity my daughter and many other adults and children who this organisation assist, would not have such a fabulous support network. A network that will drive her and others on to as much success and opportunity as possible.
Please help us support this wonderful charity; every penny really does count, especially on a charity such as this that may not be as well known. Not only am I hoping to raise money, but I am also hoping to raise the profile of this charity and to Hemi-plegia, of which 1 in 1000 people are affected.
