Story

On Sunday July 31st, with only our trusty steeds, we’ll be setting off on closed roads to begin our grueling 103 mile challenge that is the famous RideLondon 100!

On this epic one day challenge we will face 103 miles of cycling, fight over 6000 ft. of climbing and burn well over 3,500 calories. This is our way of doing our bit to raise vital funds for our chosen charity. We kindly ask for your support and for you to donate whatever you can to help us achieve our £300.00 fundraising target. Any amount, big or small, will help spur us on when the going gets tough on those fearsome hills!

The Route:

The route begins at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, heads past Canary Wharf and through the City of London before going west along
Piccadilly towards Hammersmith. Crossing the River Thames for the first time at Chiswick, we’ll ride among the dear in Richmond Park, through the heart of Kingston-Upon-Thames before crossing the river a further two times as we head through Bush Park and past Hampton Court.

Leaving the city behind, the route takes us into the Surrey countryside passing through Molesey, Walton, Weybridge, Ripley and Horsley as we head out towards the undulating roads of the Surrey Hills. At the 56 mile mark we’ll tackle the first of two tough ascents on the route. For the next 3 Kilometers we’ll be faced with an average gradient of 6.5%, peaking at 12.5%, as we climb the 500ft ascent to the top of Leith
Hill.

After a well-earned downhill stretch into Dorking, it's straight onto the next challenge. For the next 5 Kilometers we’ll be fighting an average gradient of 4%, peaking at 13%, as we take on the 560ft ascent of the world-famous Zig-Zags to the top of Box Hill.

With the London skyline back in sight, the route heads north through
Leatherhead, Oxshott and Esher, back into London through Kingston and over Putney Bridge to cross the River Thames for a final time. We’ll follow the Embankment all the way alongside the Thames, heading past some of London’s most famous landmarks as we make our way across Parliament Square and up Whitehall.
Swinging left at Trafalgar
Square, we’ll pass under Admiralty Arch before a sprint finish along The Mall for a well-deserved rest
