I've been involved with kinder mountain rescue team for a few years now. All members are volunteers that are on call 24/7, 365 days a year and do not receive a penny in expenses or wages. The team also relies heavily on public donations to reach the annual running costs of 20,000 p/a with limited government funding. Mountain rescue are involved in all kinds of rescues not just injured climbers or lost walkers. We have been involved in searches for vulnerable missing persons ( i.e. elderly, suicidal, Alzheimer's) road traffic collisions and assisting paramedics reach casualties in area's of difficulty or even snow. We are willing to help anyone.... will you help us?
