Story
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page!!! Here is our story:
Then: 1994-1996, 5 students from New Zealand, Canada, Denmark and Italy formed life-long friendships at Li Po Chun in Hong Kong. The school is part of the United World College network, a unique educational organisation whose aim is to promote peace through international understanding. Through deeply engaging experiences, we completed our secondary education, studying and living together with 100 students from 60+ nationalities.
Now: Our 20-year reunion provides an excellent opportunity to pay tribute to United World College core values of peace and intercultural understanding. Our class is raising two full scholarships for two Sri Lankan deserving and inspirational students – one Tamil and one Sinhalese. These two ethnic groups were involved in a recently ended 25-year civil war and are still going through a process of reconciliation. We want to do our own part by giving the two Sri Lankan students the opportunity we were lucky enough to have.
Event: the Wolf Run is Wild Running - a unique combination of mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. It’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud, designed to test mental & physical strength, skill and stamina!
Your contribution: the funds you donate will go entirely to the two scholarship for Sri Lankan students at Li Po Chun, United World College of Hong Kong.
We will be running as a pack, never as lone wolfs!
