We're a group of traditional musicians and friends from Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the USA who are fundraising for Friend's of St Luke's Cancer charity in Dublin. The friends of St Lukes charity generates funds to ensure that the St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centres continue to be well-equipped, warm, friendly and comfortable facilities for patients undergoing treatment. The Friends of St. Luke’s is a vital source of support in the development of the St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network.

Projects The Friends Support

Each year funds are raised for the purchase of new and replacement equipment and various projects within the Hospital. St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network is the "Centre of Excellence" in the treatment of cancer. Our main projects carried out in recent years include:
Childrens and Adolescent Play Area
Two new dedicated Patient Minibuses
VMAT Radiotherapy at St Luke's Hospital, Rathgar
​Bathroom Refurbishment in D Ward at St Luke's Hospital, Rathgar
New Patient Lift at St Luke's Hospital Rathgar
Oakland Lodge - our home away from home was refurbished and patients are enjoying the new and improved facilities in the Lodge
Brachytherapy Service at St Luke's Hospital for prostate cancer
Free WiFi for patients throughout the Network
Patient Comfort Improvements at the new St. Luke’s centres at Beaumont and St. James’s Hospitals (Planting, Aquariums, Hand Hygiene Units and TV’s) more info
Refurbishment of the Diagnostic Imaging Suite (x-ray)
Landscaping of patient gardens in Rathgar
2 CT Simulator and Treatment Planning Machines
Cancer Research at St Luke Institute of Cancer Research / Clinical Trials Resource Unit

The Friends of St Luke's Cancer Care supporting St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network Dublin was established to provide cure, care and comfort to the patients attending St Luke's Hospital and St Luke's Radiation Centres at St James's and Beaumont Hospitals.
