I am an amateur magician, mindreader and hypnotist. I perform close-up and walkaround magic in pubs and at various social functions in order to raise funds for Bright Red.

When I perform in pubs I carry a collecting tin. People generously put money in the tin if they have been entertained (or perhaps they put money in the tin to make me go away!) Every penny collected in pub collections goes to Bright Red. For social functions such as wedding receptions, birthdays, BBQs, garden parties, etc., I will typically donate 50% of my fee to Bright Red.

My wife, Lynn, is a nurse on the haematology ward at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. This is where many patients with blood cancers are treated. In February, 2014 she was part of the Bright Red Kili-climbers team that made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
