Story
So this is going to be my biggest challenge to date. Basically the local bereavement team has appealed for funding for a serious piece of equipment. This piece of equipment will not only allow previously bereaved parents to have more peace of mind during subsequent pregnancies, but it also can, and does, save babies lives. This equipment can be used to monitor ladies at an early gestation with reduced fetal movements or growth....Fetal growth restriction is associated with stillbirth. They are in desperate need of this piece of equipment I cannot stress this enough.
It is going to be a mammoth task to raise the full amount...it is £10,000. For now I'm going to try and raise half the total amount ...not by myself but in a group effort and anyone who wants to help by staging an event, fundraising, doing sponsored events etc please get in touch. I have already asked so much of everyone over the years I know this is going to be a tough challenge. But everyone has always exceeded my expectations, so I have faith in you all!
This year I am embarking on a 5k obstacle course in May, a 10k obstacle course in August and Tough Mudder in September. After almost catching pneumonia at last years Mudder, it's going to be a tough one to go through again. ALL THE EMOTIONS. (especially at crybaby...my team can vouch for this)
I will probably also throw in the Warrington half marathon this year, injuries allowing, and the family will be doing the Colour run again during Lincoln's birthday weekend so give generously for the kids!
In addition to all this I have a number of horrendous projects that I will be considering that have been suggested to me over the past few months. I am pretty much up for doing anything if it means it will make you part with your cash so suggestions are always welcome.
Please give generously and support my family and friends as we embark on this mammoth money making mission!!!
