My Mum was out shopping and collapsed. She had a major stroke and was in intensive care for over a year. She survived, but needs 24 hour care. Dad stepped in and has looked after my mother daily ever since.  Headway Essex has provided massive support for Mum and the rest of my family throughout the years. Headway has a network of more than 125 groups and offers support services for family and carers.

In 2005, I ran the Paris Marathon raising £1500 for Headway but I really wanted to do something again to help this great charity. Early 2016 I started looking for another fundraising challenge. I looked up the 'Hardest marathons in UK' I found 'Hell of a hill marathon'  6000ft plus of elevation 26.2 miles of tough stone and muddy trails 2,416 steps. Then I looked again and 50 people attempt to run the same marathon five times in five days! 29 finished it last year.

I entered it ...... and I will finish it!

But I do need your support! Every penny will go to charity.  I am funding the whole thing myself so please could you give as much as you can for this fantastic charity.

If you are a fellow runner please note that all your support at every Parkrun, Club run, Training run and Races are more than enough. Support without all of you would not even be possible so advice and loads of encouragement is all I need from you.
