PARASOL'S UNIQUE INCLUSIVENESS
Full and effective participation and inclusion in society is one of the key principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Person with Disabilities. The Parasol Project is an Oxford based charity committed to redressing the balance for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people experiencing, or at risk of, social exclusion.
Parasol has been running inclusive activities since 1992 and have been a registered charity since 1996.
Parasol work with over 300 disabled and non-disabled children and young people from Oxford City and beyond. Providing great activities Matt and all the others enjoy including Matts favourite, a Saturday morning Dance Class, where they all work very hard and learn dance routines to put on shows whenever the opportunity comes along.
Activities are based around what the young people want to do, Parasol have a can do attitude and make all the actives for everyone. Matt has had some amazing times with all the friends he has made including the volunteers and enablers. The atmosphere they create is infectious. It really is a special team.
