It has been over a year since my dreadlocks became "the greatest hairstyle I have ever had" and considering I've had some whoppers in the past, that is a big statement.

Alas, the time has come to chop them off, and so why not do it in aid for an extremely worthwhile charity.

While travelling in South America, I was shocked by the reality of the struggles that many disadvantaged families face, especially in the poorer parts of the continent. And it is the children that are feeling the full affect of this - something that needs to stop.

Toybox work very hard in both Central and South America to change lives, particularly those of street children in these areas. They provide help, support and advice to vulnerable children and help to ensure that these children are placed in safe homes where they can start better lives for themselves.
