On 21st May 2016, 39 members of staff at My Home Move (together with many more friends and family) will be attempting a gruelling 26 mile hike in the Peak District, in a bid to raise much needed funds for the good causes we support - which are detailed below. This is going to be an incredibly tough challenge, and it would mean the world to us if you could spur us on by sponsoring us.

All money raised from this event will be shared equally between the 4 DTRT good causes we support at My Home Move. DTRT is short for "Doing The Right Thing", a term that perfectly encapsulates our approach to charitable giving - to directly improve the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
- The Bridge is a charity which provides warmth, food, clothing and company for homeless people in Leicester. It is not just another drop-in centre, it is often the centre of people’s lives. Every week they share 300 meals with needy people, provide emergency clothes & bedding and give practical help to those on the streets.
- The Hope Centre opens its doors every day to the homeless of Northampton, giving everyone the ability to get warm, have a shower and a hot meal - as well as interact in activities & learn new skills. They give hope to local people who have fallen on hard times and need extensive support and encouragement to rebuild their lives.
- Mustard Tree was established as a charity in 1994 to help the homeless and marginalised people of Manchester, and their services range from hot-soup distribution on the city centre streets to their flagship campaign called "The Freedom Project", which is a 20 week rehabilitation scheme attempting to engage with their clients through teaching creative skills and focusing on potential employment opportunities etc.
- Snehalaya in Pune, India is an institute for children with Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disabilities, providing various therapies to the children and above all, providing them with love and care. It currently homes about 60 such children coming mainly from lower economic backgrounds from rural villages of the district of Pune and other neighbouring districts. The home is run by a local priest in very difficult circumstances and is funded purely by charitable giving.
