Story
You either already know or have heard what a wonderful person Sarah was and how she faced up to her five year battle against breast cancer with such dignity, spirit and vitality. She was the most perfect mother to Max and Charlie aswell as Mike's wonderful wife and an inspirational part of our family and friend to us all.
When Sarah's cancer returned in 2008 we knew it was incurable. Sarah spent a long time coming to terms with not being here to carry on the fantastic job she has done of bringing up Max and Charlie and then began preparing us all for life without her. If you've been with her over the summer and autumn you'll know that she's been in charge, not the doctors or the cancer - infact she's always been in charge!
One of Sarah's wishes is that she gives something back in return for the fantastic care she received throughout her ordeal. She is doing that by donating her body to medical research where she will contribute to beating this terrible disease - it's her last gift to each one of you as a thankyou for everything that has been done for us as a family.
I'm not sure we can compete with that really, but I would like to raise some money for a very special place that made Sarah's final three weeks as comfortable, peaceful and happy as is humanly possible. The level of care and attention that Sarah received in Myton Hospice was incredible and the staff and volunteers were outstanding. Unfortunately Hospices may touch many of our lives at some point but they are charities that receive very little central funding and they need as much help as possible to keep up their outstanding work. Rather than send flowers to remember Sarah please make a donation through this site to Myton Hospice. .....please scroll on for details....
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - raising more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the Myton Hospice.
So , think of Sarah and donate now.
Thankyou
Mike, Max and Charlie.
