Story
Sadly, Moira suffered a tragic and fatal accident at home on Sunday 28th April 2013.
Our dear Moira was special to so many people around the world.
She thought only of others and never herself.
Her unbelievable creativity was an inspiration that held most of us in awe of how she could produce such beauty from her tiny hands, that were always beading, knitting, crocheting, cooking or creating oil and olive delights from her orchard in Italy.
She strived only to please and took great pleasure from the look of happiness on our faces when she offered a pot of home made soup, a wonderful gourmet meal, an incredible piece of jewellery or silk lace or simply engaging in intellectual conversation.
Moira's uncompromising love of colour and design was a passion that could only provide inspiration to others.
The look on her face when she read the many wonderful reviews from her beautiful villa in Italy, was like a sunbeam and rainbow combined. Her overiding objective was for her guests to " Hit Trullo Bellissimo Relaxing".
Her ability to learn foreign languages ( French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic) to absolute fluency was a gift that she used to promote her humanity with the human race everywhere that she went.
Moira could never pass a homeless person without providing words of comfort and offering money to buy a meal. She would light candles and offer prayers for those that had departed, even if she did not know them personally.
Her love of animals of all kinds was legend, which she also supported through more direct debits that I can count!
If she fell or hurt herself, she never complained, but was always there for those of us that had suffering of any kind.
When she walked into a room, the energy of her smile and presence was like fairy dust being sprinkled around.
If you have ever been hugged by Moira, you will know how special they could be, as they seemed to last for an eternity.
She never had a bad word to say about anybody. Sometimes she would say to me “ if you want to take on the world Keith, please do not expect me to stand behind you sharpening your spear!”
I could go on, but all of you will know enough about the cameos of her life to appreciate what this little lady brought to us all, in her own very special way.
She was taken too soon and the world will be a lesser place, without this truly remarkable woman, that I am proud to call my wife, friend, mentor and soul-mate.
She will be dearly missed, may God bless her and look after her-until we meet again.
I hope that you can find it in your hearts to contribute to her legacy, so that Moira's memory can live on.
Thank you all from the depths of my heart and may God Bless you all.
