Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This is a Morley team fundraising effort.

My Mum, Dad and I are aiming to complete the 120km Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride in June this year. Cycling to me is a new thing, I tried the shorter ride last year and struggled with it, I finished, but I was quite slow. This year I have decided that I am going to go for the 120km ride. Both my Mum (Eileen Morley) and Dad (Peter Morley) are going to join me. They were both quite keen cyclists but in the last couple of years haven't got out on bikes as much. As such, it is something that is going to be a challenge to all three of us. It is something we are all going to have to train for - a lot of gym, spin and shorter training rides and for me, getting used to a road bike and gaining confidence on this.

We have chosen Fun Days in Nottinghamshire because they are a local charity and they play an important role in supporting young adults and children with physical or learning disabilities in recreational activities such as sports, theatre, arts, poetry etc. Also, this is Mum's chosen charity for her Rotary Presidential year (Rotary Club of Wollaton Park).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
