Story

On the 29th of December 2011 my mum Alana Dickinson passed away after a brave 17 year battle with C.O.P.D (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), More specifically emphysema. When my mum was diagnosed in 1994 she was 43 years old. She was told that there was a chance she would not survive past 50. She lived on till 60 due to not just her tremendous heart and fighting spirit but also due to the wonderful help she received from the Luton and Dunstable C.O.P.D clinic.
Due to their tireless efforts my mum got to see new grandkids, myself and my 2 brothers settle down and most of all spend 10 more years with her beloved husband. The 21st of November is my mum’s birthday and when she reached 60 we wanted to throw her a birthday party but due to her illness we couldn’t.
With this in mind i have decided to throw my mum an annual birthday party to raise much needed funds for the luton and dunstable C.O.P.D clinic.
