We fund life-changing projects to support disabled children

Story

One of our Directors, Paul Dixon, is part of the Scottish Committee for the Wooden Spoon Society.  He has been involved with the charity for 15 years and has seen first hand the difference that the charities' projects can have on the lives of disadvantgaed children throughout Scotland and the UK.

Recent fundraising activities enabled Spoon to support the purchase of a replacement rescue boat for Adventures Unlimited on Loch Ness (specialist providers of outdoor activities for people with disabilities or disadvantage) and, inspired by the fun and enjoyment this organisation delivers, we thought we would create our own aquatic challenge - a chance to hunt for Nessie, get fit and raise some money!

The Great Glen bisects the Scottish Highlands from Fort William in the West to Inverness in the North.  Our intrepid Munro paddlers are aiming to complete the 100 km waterway (incorporating the Caledonian Canal and the length of Loch Ness) in a 24 hour relay frenzy of back-breaking effort and midgie swallowing.

Early conditioning work has seen many more hours in the bath and continuous re-runs of a River Runs Through It - inspirational stuff and clear dedication to the task in hand.  We'll post training videos and regular updates on our web site at www.munrogroupltd.com so please follow our progress and give generously to a wonderful charity that makes a real difference to young people's lives.
