Music therapy gives people living with dementia a chance to express themselves, to communicate without needing to find the right words.

At MHA, we believe strongly that music therapy gives our residents living with dementia the opportunity to express the emotions that are within them, often after their ability to communicate verbally has gone. The group and one-to-one sessions we provide gives them a safe space to show their innermost feelings.

Because of our supporters, we have been able to provide music therapy sessions to people living with dementia.

But we want to do more. Music therapy has already helped some people living with dementia in our homes. With your support, we can bring the benefits of music therapy to even more of our 2,000 residents in our 56 specialist dementia care homes.
